A Morning of Purpose & Adventure

1. Wildlife Rescue & Feeding

Go behind the scenes at a real wildlife rehabilitation center. Alongside expert biologists, you will learn about the challenges facing Colombian biodiversity and participate in a feeding session for rescued macaws and parrots. This is one of the few places in the region offering ethical animal encounters in a strictly controlled in a free environment.

2. Forest Trails: Horseback & UTV 4x4

Explore the sanctuary’s rugged beauty in two ways. First, a scenic horseback ride in Cartagena’s countryside to spot wild howler monkeys and sloths. Then, kick up some dust with a guided UTV off-road ride through rolling hills and tropical forest terrain, reaching viewpoints rarely seen by tourists.

3. Tree Planting (Regenerative Travel)

Leave a lasting legacy. Every guest participates in a symbolic tree planting activity, helping to expand the habitat for the sanctuary's residents and directly offsetting the carbon footprint of your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Is this a zoo or a sanctuary?

It is a wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation center. Unlike a zoo, the primary goal here is the successful release of animals back into the wild. Your visit directly funds the medical care and food for these species.

• Will I see monkeys in the wild?

While sightings are common (Howler and Capuchin monkeys), they are wild animals in their natural habitat. Our horseback riding trail is designed to pass through their favorite feeding areas to maximize sighting chances.
