Ever wish you could go on a No Reservations-style food tour of a new city? In Cartagena it’s possible. Meet Jorge Escandon—chef and owner on La Cevicheria restaurant, and the guy who led Anthony Bourdain on an enviable caribbean culinary odyssey—now leads travelers and foodies on his “Closed door Gastronomic Experience.”
Chef Escandon will be our guide during the hours in which we dedicate ourselves to stimulating our senses with delicious Colombian cuisine. Our route starts through the Bazurto central market, a place full of life and history where the local traditions and economic activities of the city meet. Inside the market we will discover a wide variety of foods, taste sweet fruits with psychedelic appearances along with Chef Jorge Escandon as we chose the ingredients we will need to make a delicious lunch.
After a few hours of activity, learning, and lots of heat, the private tour will continue on to the home of Chef Escandon. Sharing stories between drinks and fresh ingredients, we will enjoy a creative meal prepared by one of the best chefs in the city.
Are you ready to come join us? Sample the local cuisine and explore one of the most authentic areas of the Cartagena, discovering first-hand the secrets of its flavours. Treat yourself, indulge your senses, and book this exclusive closed-door gastronomic experience during your Cartagena vacation.
